We are excited to return to the Bob Carpenter Center on the campus of The University of Delaware to give the parents prime view of their talented athletes! This fantastic location provides a large separate practice space as well as an expansive performance area. This year we look forward to a production layout that will make each athlete feel like the stars that they are! We hope you can join us for all the new excitement!
The Bob Carpenter Center is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena, named in honor of longtime University board of trustee member, athletic benefactor, and former Philadelphia Phillies owner R.R.M. "Bob" Carpenter Jr. who died in 1990. The facility serves as home for the University's football and basketball programs as well as a site for a wide variety of other events such as convocations, concerts, and banquets. The Blue Hen men's basketball team especially has enjoyed outstanding success at the Carpenter Center since beginning play here in 1992-93 season and have established a strong home court advantage. In late 2010, the University constructed an addition, which includes two full-size basketball courts, new offices and locker rooms for the basketball and volleyball programs, and a new entrance plaza. Athletes and spectators alike are sure to enjoy a day of competition at the "Bob."
